According to reports, Manchester City will reportedly submit an improved offer to Napoli over the signing of Kalidou Koulibaly.

Napoli have reportedly dropped their asking price for Koulibaly to around 70m. City are ready to pounce on that by offering a new deal for the defender.

Just last week, rumors claimed the Premier League outfit had agreed personal terms with the Napoli star.

However, the issue of a price difference between both clubs was yet to be solved.

Manchester City offered around €60m for Koulibaly but Napoli were holding out for €75-80m for their valuable asset.

A twist of events means the Serie A side could be ready to accept a lower offer. Something that could play well into City’s advantage.

SportItalia’s Alfredo Pedulla posted an exclusive that gave some insight on Koulibaly and his future.

It appears Napoli are now ready to accept €70-73m for the defender, including bonuses.

This is because they are locked in a transfer battle with Arsenal to sign Lille’s Gabriel Magalhaes. Failure to sell Koulibaly means they will miss out on the French defender to the Gunners.

Hence, Napoli will speed up the process to ensure they don’t lose on both ends. The report concludes that the Serie A side want only cash in full for their star defender.
