According to an explosive report, FC Barcelona has a hail Mary plan to convince Lionel Messi to stay at the club until the day he retires.

FC Barcelona is scrambling to find the ideal plan to prevent Lionel Messi to remain at the club until the day of his retirement. It’s clear that one of the most important aspects to keep Messi is to have him comfortable at the club. This entails surrounding him with only the best players the club can find as he was with Suarez or Neymar. Leo tends to form a strong bond with these footballers that eventually translates to the football pitch.

According to a recent report from Marca, there is already a plan that will give Messi the best possible company. As you might know, Leo is a close friend with Sergio Aguero. When Manchester City announced they were interested in signing Messi from Barcelona, both stars immediately started communicating about the possibility to play together. But the Catalan club has a plan to switch things up against the Citizens.

The plan is to sign ‘Kun’ Aguero.

Given that Sergio Aguero’s contract is about to end at Manchester City, he will start looking at his options. Any of the Barcelona presidency candidates would agree that ‘Kun’ is still one of the most important goal-scorers in recent history. Getting him to play alongside Leo Messi (his personal friend), would make Leo happier than ever. The previous administration at the club already sold Luis Suarez for no reason.

This is the chance for the club to correct one of their biggest mistakes in recent history. Allowing Suarez to leave nearly got the captain kicked off the team because he saw it as a direct attack against him. Signing ‘Kun’ wouldn’t cost much due to his veteran status but his wages could become a problem. However, selling players is also within the realm of possibility for Barcelona in order to bring Aguero.
