Inter Milan have been effective in the Europa League and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge would love them to lift the trophy.

Antonio Conte has changed the makeup of the Nerazzurri. They finished a point off Serie A champions Juventus. However, they can still add silverware to their ranks in the form of the Europa League.

Bayern Munich chairman, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, has certainly been impressed by the Italian side. Rummenigge praised them for their performances in Europa League and shared that they deserved to beat Bundesliga outfit, Bayer Leverkusen.

The 1980 German Footballer of the Year is excited by the prospect of watching Inter Milan lift the Europa League. It would pit them against Bayern Munich in the European Super Cup.

“I saw that Inter are doing very well in the Europa League and deservedly beat Bayer Leverkusen in the quarter-final,” Football Italia quoted Rummenigge.

“I really liked them, the important thing isn’t just signing star names, but playing good football. It’d be a dream outcome for me if Bayern won the Champions League and Inter the Europa League.”

Bayern Munich decimated Barcelona in their Champions League encounter. The 2-8 thrashing will be remembered for a long time

The players have not allowed the victory to get to their heads and Rumminegge shared they are concentrating on the tasks ahead.

“I went into the dressing room after the game and expected to see the lads celebrating a glorious victory, but they were really calm, concentrated and preparing for the next match. They really want to offer attacking football and achieved that in an incredible way last night.”

“There’s a rare alchemy between the coach and the players, as since Hansi Flick took control, it’s all completely changed and with a spectacular style of football.”
