The Blues defender won two penalties in a goal-laden encounter with Leeds in the Premier League.

Antonio Rudiger has urged Chelsea to stop sabotaging themselves with defensive mistakes.

Chelsea ended a two-match winless run on Saturday by overcoming Leeds 3-2 at home, but their recent defensive troubles again haunted them as Raphinha and Joe Gerhardt both scored for the visitors in London.

Therefore, Chelsea have gone five games in all competitions without a clean sheet and conceded 12 goals.

Now Rudiger, who both of Jorginho’s match-winning penalties against Leeds, has urged the team to get their act together.

“In terms of mentality we matched their game, in terms of quality, no, because the goals we conceded were too easy,” the German told the club’s website.

“These days we concede a lot of goals that are too easy and we have to address this. We know we need to improve things as quickly as possible.

“We make silly mistakes, we punish ourselves and give away goals. It’s not that the opponents are killing us or outplaying us.

“Obviously we are missing players, this is clear, but I don’t look for excuses. We have a good squad and this is the chance for people now and everyone has to take their chance.”
