Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane has urged his old club to get a deal done for Premier League Golden Boot winner Harry Kane.

Roy Keane believes Manchester United ‘have got to sign’ Harry Kane even if it costs the club around £120 million.

After another trophyless season, Kane could leave Tottenham. The 27-year-old is in the peak phase of his career and wants to compete for the highest honors available. He isn’t short of interest either, with Chelsea and Manchester City among his reported suitors.

But Keane hopes United can beat their Premier League rivals to a deal for Kane, despite harboring doubts over the Spurs striker’s leadership skills.

“The only thing I’d hold against Kane, there’s a big negative I have towards Kane,” the ex-Red Devils midfielder told SkyBet.

“I think Kane is an amazing player, every club should be trying to sign him, Manchester United have got to sign him, I don’t care if it’s £120 million… sign him.

“But I don’t think he’s a good leader. I never see him digging anyone out at Spurs. I know people might go, ‘well that’s not his personality’ or, ‘he might do it in the dressing room’. I don’t think he does and that’s a big problem.

“Okay, you can lead with your brilliant play. But I think sometimes I want to see another side to Kane, I’d love to see him get hold of somebody.”

Reports have also linked Paris Saint-Germain, who are coached by former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino, and Real Madrid to Kane.
