The Red Devils left-back adds to the buzz that has been around the club ever since the comeback of CR7 was announced.
Cristiano Ronaldo’s return is a “big positive” for Manchester United and his transfer hands the club “a massive lift”, says Luke Shaw.
Ronaldo is set to make a sensational return to Manchester United after eight years, with the move already made official.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s arrival will instantly turn United, who finished second in the Premier League table last time out, into strong title contenders alongside Manchester City, Chelsea, and Liverpool.
Ronaldo is expected to make his second debut for the Red Devils against Newcastle United after the international break as he was not registered in time to face Wolves.
“I feel like it’s given the club a massive lift, not just inside but also outside,” said Shaw speaking ahead of his side’s meeting with Wolves, via the official Man United website.
“Obviously it’s a big positive. He’s been one of the best players in the world for a number of years now.
“Everyone is excited for him to come in and not just learn from him but to be able to play with him too.”
