The Red Devils legend has praised Ronaldo’s ‘out of this world’ ability to perform in struggling teams.
Cristiano Ronaldo would outscore Mohamed Salah if the two Premier League stars switched places, according to Roy Kean.
Ronaldo scored again for Manchester United in their 3-0 win over Brentford on Monday. It was the Portuguese superstar’s 18th goal of the season, which puts him four goals behind the league’s top-scorer, Mohamed Salah.
Leading both goalscoring and assist-providing charts, Salah is the main candidate to win the league’s Player of the Season award.
However, Roy Kean believes Man United’s struggles should be taken into account when comparing the two players.
Speaking on Sky Sports, the former United star said: “Put Ronaldo in that Liverpool side and he’ll get you more goals than Salah. Put Salah in this Man United side does he get you 18 Premier League goals? I don’t think so.
“This is where Ronaldo’s ability to constantly perform in struggling teams is out of this world.”
Manchester United will face Brighton in their next league game on Saturday. Let’s see if CR7 can overtake Salah in Premier League’s goalscoring charts during the Red Devils’ two remaining fixtures.
