Cristiano Ronaldo is back in Italy and assured fans he is ready for the challenges to face in the upcoming year.

Juventus will start the new year playing against Udinese at home next Sunday. Fans will be delighted to know that Cristiano Ronaldo is back in training after returning from his trip to Dubai. The Portuguese forward went abroad to receive the Player of the Century honor at the Globe Soccer Awards.

The 35-year-old was dismissed from mandatory quarantine after his trip, which caused some controversy in Italy. However, footballers aren’t required to self-isolate for two weeks after traveling abroad. Despite this, the rest of the population in Italy is required to do so. Moreover, all non-essential traveling was banned in the country until January 6th.

Nevertheless, Ronaldo is feeling well and ready to continue being part of the defenders’ nightmares. In fact, the Juve star posted images of his training on social media and left a message for all supporters.

“A short break that I’ll always remember for the best reasons. Good times and great memories with my family, my friends, and my warm fans from Dubai. But now it’s time to get back to work!”

Juventus have fallen behind AC Milan with a 10 point gap between the club. However, Ronaldo seems highly motivated to take back the lead in Serie A.

“The batteries are fully charged so that I can return stronger and more motivated than ever, in order to chase our ambitious season goals at Juventus, not only in Italy but also in Europe.”
