Juan Cuadrado would be surprised if Lionel Messi follows in the footsteps of Cristiano Ronaldo and ends up joining Juventus.

FC Barcelona Lionel Messi is reportedly set to announce his intentions in the coming days following the breakout of the news of him wanting to exit the club.

The Argentine’s future has become a subject of intense debate as of late after he supposedly made an irreversible decision to see himself out of Camp Nou.

Manchester City are reportedly the front-runners to secure his signature, with him attracted to the prospect of working under Pep Guardiola.

Paris Saint-Germain are also said to be in good position. A recent report claimed that Neymar, his former partner in crime at Barca, and Angel Di Maria, his national teammate, contacted Messi in an attempt to lure him to the French capital.

Juventus are also being mooted as the 33-year old’s next destination. This move would be a dream come true for football fans as they have always wanted to see Ronaldo and Messi play side by side in the same team.

However, Juan Cuadrado refuses to believe that such a move is plausible.

“I can’t imagine it at all. The truth is that I don’t,” Cuadrado told ESPN Nexo on Thursday [via beIN SPORTS].

“Just like with Cristiano, many people did not believe and suddenly he arrived.”
