The president of Mexican club, Mazatlan, has spoken on his chances of signing Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
Mazatlan president Ricardo Salinas Pliego claims he could sign both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
Messi is currently a free agent and is open to joining other clubs after Barcelona confirmed his departure on Thursday. Paris Saint-Germain are favorites to sign the six-time Ballon d’Or winner. A two-year contract until 2023 is reportedly on offer, with an option for a further 12 months included.
Ronaldo, meanwhile, looks all but set to continue at Juventus unless Salinas Pliego has something to do with it.
The 65-year-old has an estimated net worth of $13.6 billion, making him the third richest Mexican and the world’s 172nd richest person overall.
“I am thinking of inviting Messi to collaborate with Mazatlan,” he posted on Twitter before sharing a survey.

When one skeptical follower dismissed his chances of getting Messi, Salinas Pliego replied: “I have plenty to bring Cristiano Ronaldo as well.”

He then shared pictures from outside Mazatlan’s stadium with the message: “They are already getting Lio Messi’s jersey ready there at the Kraken. Such nerves!”
