The Al Nassr and Portugal superstar has made the list of 30 nominees for the Best Men’s Player prize in the upcoming Globe Soccer Awards.
Cristiano Ronaldo has made the 30-man shortlist of the Men’s Player of the Year edition of the Globe Soccer Awards.
Ronaldo has won the Men’s Player of the Year a record six times. He last won the award in 2019. This year, the star got nominated after a prolific spell in 2023, with a staggering 30 goals in 36 games for Al Nassr. He also scored 10 times in nine Euro 2024 qualifiers for Portugal.
Fresh from his eighth Ballon d’Or, Lionel Messi is another nominee for the Globe Soccer Awards. The Inter Miami and Argentina forward won the Men’s Player of the Year in 2015.
Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland, Jude Bellingham, and 2022 winner Karim Benzema are nominated as well.
In the women’s edition of the Player of the Year, Aitana Bonmati heads a list of 20 nominees. The recent winner of the Ballon d’Or is joined by the likes of Olga Carmona, Rachel Daly, Mary Earps, Sam Kerr, and more.
