Despite his incredible career, Ronaldo just got snubbed from one of the most important all-time Top 10 lists in European football.

Cristiano Ronaldo woke up to the unbelievable news that he just got snubbed from one of the most important all-time Top 10 lists. His time in the Spanish La Liga with Real Madrid was simply spectacular, nobody can deny his impressive run. Despite only winning two titles during his 9-year run, Cristiano easily deserved to be part of the podium.

In fact, the whole world is surprised by this decision from the Spanish Federation of Football History & Statistics (CIHEFE). They just announced the all-time list of the best players in the competition’s history and decided to leave Ronaldo out.

The Portuguese forward scored a total of 311 goals in 292 matches, which makes him the only player with over 1 goal per-match ratio. He also won four Ballon d’Or trophies, and three European Golden Shoes during his time as a Real Madrid player. None of this was enough to help him get in the Top 10 list of the best players to ever grace the Spanish La Liga. This is only an opinion but we believe this decision is extremely unfair from CIHEFE.

Messi goes top over ‘Quini’ and Cesar.

The list loses all credibility with Ronaldo’s snub, he made it to the 12th position below other players with 457 points in the voting. Lionel Messi made it to the top (as we all expected) with 695 points after the voting. Enrique Castro ‘Quini’ (566) and Cesar Rodriguez (557) were a close second and third between each other.

The rest of the list has Thelmo Zarra, Raul Gonzalez, Juan Arza, Carlos Santillana, Alfredo Di Stefano, Guillermo Gorostiza, Manuel Fernandez ‘Pahiño’, and Francisco Gento. All in that order. After all those players, we have Cristiano Ronaldo. Although he doesn’t deserve this snub by any means, we also get that the Portugal star has too many recognitions to feel offended by this.

However, people who truly appreciate his greatness know he is easily the second-best player in La Liga’s history. Only Messi beats him in our personal all-time list. We just need to look at his numbers throughout the competition.
