It happened during Juventus’ first half against Crotone, Cristiano Ronaldo responded to his short goal drought with a killer brace.

After a number of matches without scoring for Juventus, Cristiano Ronaldo finally ended his goal drought tonight against Crotone. The Portuguese forward hasn’t been able to respond in his side’s favor with goals in important matches recently. Since January 10, Ronaldo hadn’t scored a single Serie A goal but he did get goals in cup competitions. Today was an ideal moment for him to respond to critics about his goal-drought in the domestic competition.

It took him a few minutes during the first half against Crotone but he finally responded. The first goal came after an assist from Alex Sandro but VAR made the goal get a double-check that finally passed. After that, Cristiano didn’t take a long time to score his brace with another header. Aaron Ramsey found Ronaldo from the left flank this time around. Although the rival is at the bottom of the Serie A table, Cristiano must be thrilled to finally score a goal in this competition after more than a month.

Can Juventus recover in Serie A?

This completely depends on how well Cristiano Ronaldo responds during the final part of the season. However, it also depends on how many points both Milano clubs can drop in the competition. We are living through a revival from both sides to Juventus’ detriment after more than a decade of Bianconeri domination.

Cristiano Ronaldo presents himself as the only hope Juventus has of winning silverware this season in any competition. Thus far, the Old Lady already booked the Coppa Italia final against Atalanta. But getting other titles this season will be incredibly difficult. It won’t be impossible but it sure will be hard. Tonight’s result against Crotone is finally a step in the right direction for Ronaldo and company.
