Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala will be both sit out of Juventus’ clash with Monza in the Luigi Berlusconi Trophy match.

Juventus have announced both Cristiano Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala are out of Saturday’s friendly with Serie B side Monza.

The Bianconeri will face Monza at the U-Power Stadium for the 25th edition of the Luigi Berlusconi Trophy. It’s their second friendly of pre-season, having previously beaten Cesena 3-1 last weekend.

But they will do so without star forwards Ronaldo and Dybala as the pair are both missing from Juventus manager’s Massimiliano Allegri’s 23-man squad.

Why are Ronaldo and Dybala out?

Juventus are yet to give an official reason for the duo’s absences, although Allegri will probably reveal why later this weekend.

Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport has claimed Ronaldo will stay in Continassa to continue with his athletic training. Dybala, meanwhile, hasn’t fully recovered yet from muscle fatigue. The pair could return for the next friendly against Barcelona at Camp Nou on August 8.

Also missing from Allegri’s list are Alvaro Morata and Rodrigo Bentancur, who have just returned from their summer vacations.

Federico Chiesa, Federico Bernardeschi, Giorgio Chiellini, and Leonardo Bonucci will report back to Juventus next week from their summer holidays.
