Through a social media post, Cristiano Ronaldo declared himself ready to face Napoli on Wednesday in a postponed match.

Cristiano Ronaldo has another chance to prove himself against Napoli this season, he just declared himself ready for Wednesday. In a social media post published earlier today, Cristiano Ronaldo pictured himself training ahead of this crucial crunch match. To put things in perspective, this could be the last chance Juventus has to make it to the Top Four with guarantees. At 56 points in Serie A, the Bianconeri share the same number of points and the winner of this match will claim the fourth position.

This match comes after the hyped match against Napoli was postponed earlier this season. The Azzurri squad had a number of Covid-19 cases just before this match and Serie A initially suspended the game. They took three points from the squad but they fought the decision in court. After the resolution was overturned, they finally gave this match a new date for tomorrow.

Ronaldo stays top of the goal-scoring table.

This match will also serve Cristiano Ronaldo as a perfect way to remain on top of the goal-scoring table in the tournament. With 24 goals so far, Ronaldo still has 10 more matches to find the was to a new record that is still held by Gonzalo Higuain. On the same day, Romelu Lukaku’s Inter Milan plays against Sassuolo as well. The Belgian striker is trailing Cristiano with 20 goals in the tournament so far.

If Ronaldo gets back into his scoring habits, getting him to stop at this stage of the season will be almost impossible. Even if Juventus doesn’t win the Scudetto this season, there is still a good chance Cristiano will end up with another personal accolade. If he decides to leave his club this summer, Ronaldo will at least have that personal satisfaction before taking the next step in his career.
