Ronaldo scored twice on Monday to help restore Juventus to winning ways and moved one step closer to a special feat held by Ibrahimovic.

Cristiano Ronaldo needs to score against one more new team to equal Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s record for scoring against the most opponents in a top 5 European league since 2000.

Two first-half goals in Monday’s 3-0 win over Crotone means Ronaldo has scored against every club currently in Serie A. Only Chievo Verona, who were relegated to Serie B in 2018/19, have kept the forward goalless in the Italian top-flight.

It was the 78th different opponent Ronaldo has scored against in his top-flight European career. He’s featured for Manchester United in the Premier League, Real Madrid in LaLiga, and currently Juventus in Serie A.

According to Opta, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is on the brink of matching Ibrahimovic’s feat of scoring against 79 different opponents in a top 5 European league since 2000.

Considering Ronaldo has already scored against every club currently in Serie A, however, he’ll have to wait until next season at the earliest to equal Zlatan’s landmark.
