Milan bag crucial points at Stadio Olimpico as they keep chasing Napoli at the top of the table.

Milan defeated Roma with a 2-1 result on Monday. The Rossoneri continued their incredible run of form by securing the three points against Jose Mourinho’s side.

Zlatan strikes again!

Milan quickly dominated the possession and got their first goal in the 25th minute. Zlatan Ibrahimovic opened the scoring for the Rossoneri, once again making a significant impact at the Serie A side.

Franck Kessie doubled Milan’s lead by converting a spot-kick just before the hour-mark. However, the Rossoneri suffered a blow in the 67th minute when Theo Hernandez was sent off.

Stefano Pioli made four changes after seeing Hernandez getting his second yellow card for a foul on Lorenzo Pellegrini.
Roma increased the pressure on Milan’s backline in the second half. The Giallorossi finally scored through Stephan El Shaarawy’s strike in the 93rd minute. However, it wasn’t enough for Mourinho’s side to escape the home defeat.

Milan stay second behind Napoli in Serie A, patiently waiting for the Partenopei to make their first mistake.
