Rodrygo Goes expects Brazil will be put to a stern test away to Peru for their next World Cup qualifier.

Rodrygo made his third appearance for Brazil in Saturday’s 5-0 win over Bolivia by coming on for the last 32 minutes.

Marquinhos broke the deadlock inside 16 minutes before Roberto Firmino struck twice. An own goal from Jose Carrasco increased Brazil’s lead, with Philippe Coutinho adding another to ensure an emphatic victory.

It was a perfect start to the Selecao’s World Cup qualifying campaign ahead of their second game away to Peru.

Ricardo Gareca’s side didn’t enjoy such a fabulous start to their own campaign, drawing 2-2 at Paraguay. However, Rodrygo believes the squad has the potential to cause Brazil trouble in Lima on Wednesday morning.

“They have everything to make our lives difficult, but we are going to do our best to win,” said Rodrygo as quoted on BeSoccer.

Nevertheless, the Real Madrid winger believes Brazil’s offensive prowess could prove a most helpful aid.

“We have to attack and look for the goal at all times,” added Rodrygo.

“I think we must continue like this, although there are games and matches and sometimes we must have another strategy,” but “attacking is in the DNA of Brazilian players.”
