Rodrygo Goes says he wants to improve his quality and also challenge for trophies with Real Madrid.
Rodrygo Goes joined Real Madrid from Santos last summer. The youngster cost Los Blancos a hefty €45m.
Being only 18 at the time, the young Brazilian joined Madrid with lots of promise and potential.
After his first full season at the club, Rodrygo has shown what he’s all about but still wants to improve further.
The teenager scored a decent seven goals while recording three assists in 26 total appearances for Real Madrid last term.
Being part of the La Liga winning squad, the youngster has set his sights on more trophies. Rodrygo also got a call-up to the Brazil national team last November and wants to get more chances in the Seleção jersey.
“It was a very good first season [at Real Madrid], but I want to do more,” he said as quoted by Marca.
“[I want] to once again fight for trophies, to have more goals, assists and to have more opportunities in the Brazilian national team, which is one of the objectives that I have set myself for 2021.”
Asides that, Rodrygo plans to put in more work with personal trainer Marcel Duarte. The teenager’s goal is to improve all-round in his game.
“We knew he would have this period of maturation and evolution in the physical, technical and mental parts,” he added.
“I try to evolve every day.
“Strength is very important, but you need balance.
“I try to improve my heading, shooting with both feet, dribbling, reading of the game, the tactical part and marking.
“Football is constantly changing and we need to be connected.”
