Real Madrid began training for the 2020/21 season and Rodrygo Goes is eagerly waiting to impose himself against their rivals.
Karim Benzema was Real Madrid’s savior as they claimed their 34th La Liga title. It was the Frenchman’s goals that ended Barcelona’s dominance in Spanish top flight football. The former Olympique Lyon forward did not have company in attack.
This year will be different according to Rodrygo Goes. The young Brazilian attacking wizard has high hopes for the coming campaign and is putting in the hours on the training field.
Rodrygo shared that the weight of expectation has not changed at the club despite playing in front of empty stands.
“We’re training very well, giving it our all and everything the coaching staff are asking of us,” Marca quoted Rodrygo in an interview with Real Madrid TV.
“Physically, I feel really good. I’ve come back really hungry.
“The objectives are the same as always because Real Madrid have to win everything.
“We’ll keep playing without crowds, without our fans, but we’ll be very focused on giving everything possible to win.”
Real Madrid begin the new La Liga campaign against Real Sociedad. The best player on the pitch between their last encounter was Martin Odegaard, but the Norwegian will be on the other bench come the season opener.
