Rodri says Spain will put out their best efforts and treat their game against Germany on Tuesday as a ‘life and death’ fixture.
Spain will go into the game against Germany with guns blazing for a win, says Rodri.
Germany will lock horns with Spain in Sevilla on Tuesday in a group decider as both sides look to finish top of Group A4 in the UEFA Nations League.
Germany heads into this game as group leaders with nine points in five matches, but a defeat could potentially see them finish level of points with third-placed Ukraine.
Rodri is aware Spain are in a difficult situation as well. They are currently on eight points and a defeat on Tuesday could even allow Ukraine to overtake them as the eastern Europeans are currently on six points.
To that effect, the City man knows La Roja must be at their best on Tuesday night.
“We expect Germany to have a strong team as always, this can be a good test of how we are in a life or death match,” Rodri said as quoted by Marca.
“They will push us to our limit as happened in Stuttgart, but our mentality doesn’t change, we want to win.
“The coach asks us to face each match as if it was in the European Championship, and the best way to get to that tournament ready is to compete in every single match.”
