The Brazilian is spending the final months of his current contract at Anfield.
Roberto Firmino will decide on his future at Liverpool by the end of this month, according to his agent.
A number of top European clubs have shown interest in the Brazilian forward, whose contract expires in June.
The Reds have added the likes of Cody Gakpo, Luis Diaz, and Darwin Nunez to their attacking line, which has limited Firmino’s playing time. However, Jurgen Klopp has repeatedly expressed his desire to keep the experienced forward in their squad.
According to widespread reports in English media, Liverpool have entered negotiations with Firmino’s representatives. But the English giants are yet to reach an agreement to extend the 31-year-old’s contract.
“It’s a long relationship between Roberto and Liverpool. Roberto is comfortable,” agent Roger Wittmann told Sky Deutschland.
“At the moment we are in a great exchange and in February we will probably know where the journey is going.
“But Roberto also has to have a say in order to find an agreement with Liverpool. We are on the right track. We have really good talks with Liverpool. It’s an outstanding club.”
Firmino made a wonderful start to the 2022-23 season but suffered a calf injury in November. The Brazilian star will most likely return to action before Liverpool’s upcoming Champions League clash against Real Madrid on February 21.
