Despite a possible summer reshuffle coming up at Manchester City, Riyad Mahrez can’t see himself being anywhere else.
Riyad Mahrez has claimed he cannot see ‘what is higher’ than playing for Manchester City and added he still has unfinished business at the Etihad Stadium.
Reports have linked the Premier League champions with some big-money moves. Harry Kane, Jack Grealish, and even Robert Lewandowski have been billed as potential targets for City. It’s prompted rumors of a summer reshuffle, with the club’s record scorer Sergio Aguero having already left.
Mahrez, along with teammates Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus, have been linked with exits in recent months.

“What if I want to go higher?” Mahrez said on YouTube channel Oui Hustle. “I do not see what is higher [than Manchester City].
“To try another championship [elsewhere]? No. I really love England and English football is wonderful. I don’t want to leave. I still have goals to pursue here.
“When you see [Pep] Guardiola wants you, it’s flattering. The acclimatization here was not easy, but our relationship today, everyone knows [is great].”
The Algeria international has managed 39 goals and 37 assists in 142 appearances since his €67.8m move from Leicester in 2018. He has won seven trophies so far, including two Premier League titles and three EFL Cups.
The only major piece of silverware missing in Mahrez’s cabinet at City is the Champions League after the club finished as runners-up to Chelsea last season.
