Richarlison has been in superb form this season, but his Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti has boldly challenged him to do better – a lot better.

Ancelotti has already told Richarlison that he ‘will win the Ballon d’Or’ and many golden boot awards since taking charge of Everton last year.

The Brazilian forward has managed an impressive 11 goals and three assists in 26 appearances under Ancelotti.

His three-match suspension in the Premier League, meanwhile, coincided with Everton’s dip in form. Without Richarlison, they lost all three games and scored just twice to fall outside the top-four spots.

But while his growing importance for the Blues is becoming more evident, it turns out most people may have underestimated just how invaluable he is to Ancelotti.

“He [Ancelotti] has already told me I will win the Ballon d’Or and that I will be leading scorer of many tournaments,” said Richarlison as quoted by the Daily Star.

“I trust the man’s word because he’s an experienced guy.

“He has won pretty much everything and I only need to trust on his work, which I am doing.”

To be fair, Ancelotti should know a thing or two about Ballon d’Or winners after coaching NINE of them across his career.

These include Cristiano Ronaldo, Ronaldo Nazario, Zinedine Zidane, Andriy Shevchenko, and many more.
