Declan Rice should ignore interest from other clubs and continue at West Ham in favor of forging his own legacy, suggests Triple H.

West Ham midfielder Declan Rice’s stocks soared up last season as his eye-catching performances helped the club avoid relegation from the English top-flight.

Rice, who played every minuted of the Hammers’ 2019/20 Premier League season, was rewarded with a call-up to Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the upcoming Nation League matches.

A battle for him, as a result, has sparked up in the Premier League as a number of top clubs are said to be keen on the England international’s signature.

Chelsea are understood to be positioned at the front of the queue. After strengthening his attack and midfield, Frank Lampard wants to shift his focus to adding defensive reinforcements. Lampard has plans to shift Rice back to central defense, a position the player occupied earlier in his career.

The 21-year old is contracted to West Ham until 2024, with an option for a further year. However, it increasingly looks like he will not be at London Stadium next season.

Amid all the speculations about his future, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) legend Triple H, who is a West Ham supporter, has urged Rice to stay put at the club.

“Declan you’ve got big decisions ahead of you and I understand that, and far be it for me to tell you what to do, but I’d like to give you a point of view that sometimes in life there are more important things,” Triple H said in a video posted to Twitter

“There’s an opportunity to be something more. To be a hero. Build your franchise, build your legacy, to become something more, to become the one and only, the first Declan Rice.

“Stay with the people that brought you to the dance, stay with West Ham and become the hero, become the champion, become everything that they all know Declan Rice can be.”
