Will Lewandowski leave Barcelona before the end of his contract in 2026?

Barcelona’s struggles in front of goal this season have cast doubts on Robert Lewandowski’s future at the club.

The team, leading the charts in missed big chances across the top five leagues, currently sits third in La Liga, trailing leaders Real Madrid by eight points.

Lewandowski’s underwhelming form has convinced Xavi Hernandez to rotate Lewandowski with the likes of Marc Guiu, Vitor Roque, and Ferran Torres. However, it seems the Polish star is nowhere near the end of his career at Barcelona.

According to AS, Lewandowski has no intention of leaving Barcelona in the near future. The striker is reportedly committed to fulfilling his contract, extending until 2026.

Lewandowski and his family, who are currently living in a residence owned by Marc Bartra, are planning to move to a newly funded mansion in Garraf by summer. The 35-year-old has remained unfazed by competition from younger players, hoping to regain his place as Barca’s undisputed No.9.

The possible arrival of Hansi Flick as Xavi’s replacement could be another deciding factor in Lewandowski’s future. The pair spent two successful seasons together at Bayern Munich, winning a historic treble in 2020. Lewandowski also broke the Bundesliga’s all-time record for most goals in a single season under the German manager.
