After last Monday’s report on Diego Maradona’s trip to the hospital, we finally have a new update on his condition this Tuesday.
Diego Maradona was rushed to the hospital on Monday night as a precautionary measure to keep him in good health. The Argentine legend was reported to have dehydration and a mild case of anemia. There were many false reports of Maradona getting infected with Covid-19 or having new problems with drug abuse.
What really happened was linked to poor nutrition and depression. Mental health is no joke, Diego Maradona did need urgent treatment and he finally got it overnight. His personal physician, Dr. Leopoldo Luque wanted to give everybody an update. Especially to all the concerned Diego Maradona fans.
They all regard him as one of the most important figures in Argentinean culture and they couldn’t tolerate if anything happened to him. Fortunately, the report is positive and Diego should be out of the hospital by Wednesday morning if everything goes well.
Diego is already up and lively.
Dr. Luque wanted to speak to the press about the legend’s current condition. He confirmed the anemia and malnutrition problems he faces. However, he dismissed the notion that he was rushed to the hospital with a life-threatening problem.
Ole reported the following statement from Dr. Luque: “My idea is to get everybody relaxed. Diego was taken to the hospital due to a mild anemia issue that affected his nutrition. He didn’t get checked in with a life-threatening problem. We are not saying he is in critical condition or anything of sorts. Diego is feeling better than he felt yesterday. Our plan is for him to remain here for a few more days.
“Although he has anemia and he is dehydrated. We have to correct that and help him to keep improving. The idea is to improve as much as we can. But we need more time. As soon as he felt better, Diego wanted to leave. Plus, we joked and we strolled through the clinic. His evolution was as we expected and he is completely conscious.”
