The new Blues boss has reportedly reversed some of Lampard’s transfer decisions as he begins his reign in London.
Olivier Giroud, Marcos Alonso, Billy Gilmour, and Tino Anjorin are all reportedly set to stay put at Chelsea beyond the winter transfer window, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Alonso, in particular, faced an uncertain future under Frank Lampard. Prior to Sunday’s 2-0 win over Burnley, he hadn’t even played for the club since September and appeared certain for an exit in 2021.
Giroud, meanwhile, has been in and out of the squad again this season. And with the European Championships coming up in the summer, he is keen to get regular game time to ensure a spot in the French national team.

But Tuchel, who replaced Lampard as Chelsea manager last week, has decided against allowing the pair, or youngsters Gilmour and Anjorin, to leave. The German wishes to keep his current squad until the end of the season.
Chelsea will return to action on Thursday for a Premier League match against London rivals Tottenham.
