In a recent interview for Telefoot, a French prodigy revealed he is thinking about renewing his contract despite Real Madrid’s interest.

Real Madrid keeps getting ignored by more and more French prodigies, this one is from another Ligue 1 club. Last season, Kylian Mbappe wasn’t the young youngster from his country who was pursued by Los Blancos. Eduardo Camavinga was also a player whom Zinedine Zidane was eager to sign at any cost. Rennes was pretty much given up to the idea they would lose one of their best players to the Spanish giants.

However, there has been a recent development that will surprise a lot of people. Just like Kylian Mbappe did last week, Camavinga followed the PSG star’s example. In a recent interview picked up by Telefoot, he hinted at a possible contract extension that puts Real Madrid’s plans on halt once again. At this rate, Los Blancos won’t be able to sign any of the players they were after in the summer.

Camavinga is living large at Rennes.

In a recent interview, the young French player explained both his decision to change agents and his possible contract extension. Telefoot picked up his statement: “My change of agent? These are things that happen, we shouldn’t focus on that. I have faith in my parents, quite simply. Could I sign an extension? Yes. Do I want to? Yes. What is holding it up? I do not know, there are negotiations.

“If you want to talk about that, there is my father… It is you, the journalists, who have been talking about me leaving, but I am 100 percent focused on the club. Certainly when a big club is interested, it is nice. But I am not getting carried away,” he told Telefoot. I took this choice with my family [to stay at Rennes]. Today we are happy to have made this decision. I just need to focus on football and not think too much about everything else around it. Life is very good at the moment.”
