Report: PSG plans to make Mbappe the highest-paid player

Kylian Mbappe is running through his last six months of the contract and PSG are eager to tie him down at Parc des Princes before summer.

Paris Saint-Germain are developing a contract offer for Kylian Mbappe which will make him the highest-paid player in the footballing world.

At this moment, “the French speedster” is set to hit free agency in the summer. It will thus be an end to a four-year stay at Parc des Princes with illustrious memories to cherish. 

But it may not be the case, as PSG are cleverly plotting a deal that will see Mbappe earning over £500,000 a week, claims the Independent.

Rumours of the strikers future transfers have already ascended in the market, with suitable clients waiting for his departure. However, it appears that the Ligue 1 outfit will not make it easy for the 22-year-old to leave.

Recently, after scoring the winning goal against Real Madrid, Mbappe cleared his thoughts regarding his future. He told Movistar: “I’ve not decided my future.”

“I play for Paris Saint-Germain, one of the best clubs in the world. I give my best and then we will see what happens next season.”

What has PSG said about his future?

It is pretty simple that the Parisians are not interested in releasing the winger yet. In fact, they have, on several occasions said that new terms can be finalized.

Prior to their meeting with Blancos, the club chief discussed Mbappe’s future as he spoke with El Larguero. He said: “I don’t think such an important decision will depend on a match or a tie.”

“He is an intelligent, mature boy, with a tremendous capacity for analysis and always knowing what he wants for his career and his future.”

“Hopefully he spends his entire career at PSG, which would be a very good sign for us and the club. For me, he is a player who is in the top five of the world without any doubt.”
