After looking at him celebrating the Top Four with Liverpool, there are reports of a midfield player’s agent at Barcelona’s headquarters.

It turns out that one of Liverpool’s midfield stars sent his agent to Barcelona’s headquarters recently to discuss his player’s future. We are talking about Georginio Wijnaldum, who has been linked to a move to the club last season. Ronald Koeman already got the best of this player during their time together with the Netherlands. Sport reported that the player wants to possibly get a three-year deal and is willing to get a substantial salary decrease.

Also, Ronald Koeman’s future at the club is not a deal-breaker for Wijnaldum. His intention is to possibly play at FC Barcelona if the offer from the Catalan club is good for him. However, there are other clubs such as Inter Milan or Bayern Munich who are also interested in signing him. The meeting extended for well past an hour and Joan Laporta attended in order to speak to Wijnaldum’s agent. There are also another areas in which the club needs to work this week.

Koeman and Depay’s future are also in the air.

According to this report, FC Barcelona might make a decision about Ronald Koeman’s future later today as well. The president already expressed his concern for the club’s last weeks of the season but he still hasn’t made up his mind about the Dutch manager. We need to keep in mind that any Dutch player who arrives at the club is coming regardless of what happens to the gaffer.

This doesn’t only include Wijnaldum on the possible event, but Memphis Depay as well. The Olympique Lyon player would be coming for free as Depay would from French football and he is eager to close a deal with the Blaugrana. Playing alongside Leo Messi is a far more interesting prospect than playing under Koeman for both players. We are going to keep you posted on everything that happens with these two players in the next couple of weeks.
