Serie A rivals Inter Milan and AS Roma are holding conversations over a potential switch between two highly-rated players.
Swap deals have become the best solution to diminish the impact of the global pandemic in football. Unfortunately, most football clubs have suffered severe financial setbacks due to the lack of revenue from tickets and other related sources.
Therefore, when the opportunity to trade players without financial compensations involved appears, it is only natural they should take advantage of it. For these two Serie A clubs, that is definitely the case, since both wish to dispose of one forward but require an immediate alternative.
According to Sky Sports, Inter Milan and Roma have initiated talks to complete a switch between Edin Dzeko and Alexis Sanchez. In fact, it is suggested that Roma were the ones to offer the possibility as the former Manchester City striker has had a recent falling out with Paulo Fonseca.
In fact, the Portuguese manager has reportedly left Dzeko sidelined on purpose after the pair had a clash on a training session. The 34-year-old has scored seven goals for Roma this season but his return to the squad is looking difficult at the moment. On the other hand, Alexis Sanchez has scored twice this season but has failed to repeat the deed since November.
Although this deal will be a tough one to complete, both clubs will attempt to work out the matters of wages and financial compensation. There is a general belief that this move could be beneficial for both clubs and players.
