Even though PSG recently stated they are trying to make Neymar stay for a longer time, a report suggests they already put a price-tag on him.

Even though Neymar was confirmed to be in talks with PSG over a contract extension this week, things might not be as they seem. This week after their victory over Istanbul Basaksehir, the French giants offered some transfer headlines that made a ripple effect.

On one side, Nasser Al-Khelaifi revealed he is working hard to seal the contract extension of his two stars. Both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe apparently want to continue playing where they are, but new information just came to light.

On the other hand, Neymar apparently told the press his intention is to remain at the club. However, L’Equipe just revealed Al-Khelaifi has a plan B in case his plan to renew the players’ contracts doesn’t work. Should any of them ask to leave, he is not letting them leave the club for free.

Neymar won’t be cheap for anybody.

In this report, it is stated that Nasser Al-Khelaifi won’t allow the Brazilian star to leave for less than €100 million. They paid €222 million for him back in 2017 and he’s delivered some impressive numbers. Regardless, Neymar is still considered one of the best players in the world.

Choosing to not continue playing at PSG means he might have plans to play at another club. This means Nasser Al-Khelaifi already has a contingency plan for this eventuality. Should the star decide to leave, it won’t be for a low price.

But the scenario dictates PSG has the upper hand in the negotiation and Neymar likes the idea of staying in the French capital. Plus, he will likely stay if Nasser gets to sign Messi to play at FC Barcelona.
