Ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window, Rennes might sell their Manchester United-linked prized asset Eduardo Camavinga.

It seems like Rennes might release their star prodigy Eduardo Camavinga this summer according to club president Nicolas Holveck.

Apparently, the French youngster is connected to the Premier League giants Manchester United for a while now. Camavinga has become a top young talent in European football since slipping into the Rennes first-team at the age of 16 in 2019.

As a result of this, numerous elite clubs have looked into this prospect of buying the France international. And as mentioned above, United have been one of those who are highly interested in signing the midfielder.

Now, Rennes chief Hovleck has finally made comments regarding Camavinga’s future and all the speculation around him.

Hovleck told RMC: “Discussions are still ongoing, everything is open, either for a departure during this transfer window – if an offer satisfies everyone – or to extend [his contract].”

The real question that rattles the mind is how much would the whizzkid cost? According to some reports, the French club are looking for a minimum of €50 million with Man Utd on the hot seat.

Camavinga, who is 18 now, has one year left on his agreement with Rennes. This means that the club will make preparations to sell him if they desire to avoid losing him on a free transfer in 2022.
