Harry Redknapp believes the newly appointed Conte can activate Dele Alli‘s full potential.

Dele Alli has struggled to find his best form under the Spurs’ recent managers.

The English midfielder fell out of favour in the latter stages of Mauricio Pochettino’s reign. Alli’s problems of integrating into the Spurs squad continued under Jose Mourinho and Nuno Espirito Santo.

What has been said?

Despite Alli’s recent form, Harry Redknapp believes Antonio Conte can get the best out of the 25-year-old.

“You keep changing the manager,” said Redknapp. “Something is wrong, somewhere.

“Someone has got to find a key to unlock that bit of talent that is there and get them playing. Find a system that suits everybody and gets the best out of them.

Tottenham announced Conte as their new manager on Tuesday. The Italian coach will take over an unbalanced team packed with unexpressed talent and out-of-form stars.

“Get Dele Alli playing. Find a key to him. That’s going to be a big challenge for him.

“If he gets him playing, then it’s going to be like having a new £120 million signing because Dele Alli is a great talent.”

What’s next for the Spurs?

Tottenham’s journey with Conte starts with a Europa Conference League game against Vitesse on Thursday.

It remains to be seen whether the Italian coach will decide to use Alli in his side’s starting eleven for the match.
