If the embarrassment of an 8-2 defeat wasn’t enough for Barcelona and Lionel Messi, they have Real Madrid’s Marcelo mocking them too.

Barcelona is hurting right now. After a humiliating capitulation domestically, they were publicly embarrassed on the continent too by Bayern Munich.

While Real Madrid went out a round earlier than their domestic rivals, it was of little consequence to Marcelo. The Brazilian defender saw the German Champions annihilation of their bitter rivals as the opportunity to rub salt in their very open and painful wounds.

Young Canadian international Alphonso Davies, man-handed the great Lionel Messi, as the student became the master.

It was total s**thousery  at its best as he dribbled past Messi and half the Barcelona team to set up a Bayern goal, in just one of many acts of utter domination.

Marcelo took to social media, proclaiming the joy he got from what he saw.

Of course, the rest of the internet world could not help but join in with the mockery of a fallen giant!

Is this the end of an era?
