Real Madrid have released footage showing progress as they continue their £500m redevelopment of Santiago Bernabeu.
Real Madrid have shown the public new footage of work on their £500m redevelopment of the Santiago Bernabeu.
The La Liga giants began remodeling the Bernabeu earlier this year and have already transformed its appearance after installing a new fixed and retractable roof.
New footage released by Madrid on their Twitter page showed the long process of constructing their state-of-the-art new retractable roof.
Real Madrid are currently playing all their home games at the Alfredo Di Stéfano while the huge renovation project continues.
The Bernabeu will also get a revamped facade to modernize its appearance and have a 360-degree video screen and a new seating section.
Plans to refurbish private boxes are also well underway.
Real Madrid initially planned to get the work done over the off-season, but those plans were altered because of the emergence of the coronavirus pandemic.
The full redevelopment is not expected to be completed before another 18-24 months with an original completion date set for October 2022.
