The Blancos are on the verge of making their second summer signing, beating PSG and Liverpool in a close race.

Real Madrid have reportedly reached an agreement to sign Aurelien Tchouameni from Monaco.

Following a brilliant 2021-22 campaign, the 22-year-old attracted interest from several elite clubs across Europe.

Paris Saint-German and Liverpool were also actively trying to persuade Tchouameni over a move. However, it seems that Real Madrid have won the transfer race and will soon announce their next summer signing.

According to Goal, Real Madrid have agreed to a €100 million deal for Tchouameni. The talented midfielder will reportedly sign a contract until 2027 at Santiago Bernabeu.

The Frenchman emerged as a crucial player for Monaco last season, making 50 appearances across all competitions. He will be another addition to Real Madrid’s squad amid their efforts to rebuild their midfield unit. The Blancos hope to play the youngster alongside his countryman Edouardo Camavinga, who joined the club from Rennes last summer.

The new signing comes after Real Madrid confirmed Anthonio Rudiger joined the club as a free agent. The Blancos have also extended Luka Modric’s contract and are reportedly planning to announce it before Tchouameni’s deal. The Croatian star will reportedly sign a new contract until June 2023 at Santiago Bernabeu.
