Rumours about the Frenchman’s potential move to Real Madrid have intensified in recent weeks.

Real Madrid have denied having any negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe.

The World Cup winner is set to become a free agent next summer, with Real Madrid remaining as his most likely destination. Earlier this week, a report from AS claimed that Mbappe had decided to give up around €100 million in loyalty bonuses to secure a free move to Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the season.

The report has, however, triggered an official response from Real Madrid as the club denies links with the French superstar.

“Given the information recently issued and published by different media outlets, in which there is speculation about alleged negotiations between the player Kylian Mbappé and our club, Real Madrid CF would like to state that this information is completely false and that no such negotiations have taken place with a player who belongs to PSG,” Real Madrid’s statement reads.

Mbappe came close to joining Real Madrid in 2022 but ended up signing a new contract at PSG. The club expected the 24-year-old to activate his one-year option to stay at Parc des Princes until 2025. But, as of now, he has yet to renew his current contract, which expires next summer.
