According to initial reports from the Spanish media, the keeper’s injury is not serious. Carlo Ancelotti has refused to take a risk with Courtois, making sure he would be available against Barcelona.
Courtois’ absence will be a huge squad blow to Real Madrid, who hope to continue their perfect run across all competitions.
The Blancos have welcomed Karim Benzema back to their squad ahead of the Osasuna clash. The Frenchman hopes to return to La Liga’s Golden Shoe risk, where Robert Lewandowski is currently leading.
Ancelotti’s men will play with Andriy Lunin between their posts against Osasuna. The Ukrainian keeper was a reliable option for the Blancos during the short periods of Courtois’ absence last season.
