Real Madrid goalkeeper returns positive for Coronavirus

Real Madrid have yet another player unavailable due to health issues as back-up keeper Andriy Lunin has been tested positive for COVID-19.

Andriy Lunin has been forced into withdrawal from the Ukraine national team after a test result confirmed him to be infected with coronavirus on Tuesday.

The 21-year old shot-stopper will now remain unavailable for international duty when Ukraine clash against Spain in the Nations League on Tuesday, October 14.

After being made aware of his health condition, the Real Madrid man took to self-isolation at the Hyatt Regency Chantilly Hotel in France.

According to Marca, another goalkeeper in the Ukraine team, Yuriy Pankiv, along with the team’s chef, was also tested positive for the virus.

Zinedine Zidane has a number of his key players sidelined as Toni Kroos, Eden Hazard, Dani Carvajal, Eder Militao, and Alvaro Odriozola all are currently out injured.

Zidane will be hoping that at least some of his injured players return to full fitness before the end of the international break, ahead of the LaLiga fixture against Cadiz.
