The Celta Vigo starlet has attracted interest from a number of elite clubs both in Spain and abroad.

Liverpool and Manchester United have joined Real Madrid in the race to sign Gabri Veiga.

The midfielder’s brilliant performances for Celta Vigo will most likely earn him a place in Spain’s squad for the Euro 2024 qualifiers.

The 20-year-old has developed into a key player in Celta’s midfield since making his senior debut last year. This season, Veiga has registered nine goals and three assists in his 25 league appearances.

According to ESPN, Liverpool and Man Utd are considering summer moves for the Spaniard.

Veiga reportedly has a €40m release clause in his Celta Vigo contract, which makes him an affordable option compared to the elite midfielders on the market.

Real Madrid have also sent scouts to monitor Veiga in recent weeks, hoping to keep the midfielder in La Liga.

The Blancos are also competing against a host of elite sides in the transfer race to sign Jude Bellingham. Borussia Dortmund reportedly demand €120m for the England international.

In recent weeks, Celta have intensified their efforts to tie Veiga to a new deal. The Spanish youngster’s current deal runs until 2026, but the club is keen to increase his release clause.
