Brahim Diaz’s agent is confident that the player can establish himself into a star at AC Milan, a possibility was devoid at Real Madrid.
Great things were expected from Brahim Diaz when he left Manchester City for Real Madrid in the winter of last year on a €17 million move.
The Moroccan-Spaniard showed much promise during his time at the Man City youth academy and was handed a professional contract when he was only 17. The inability to break into the first-team, however, saw him quit the club three years later.
Unfortunately, Brahim ended up suffering a similar fate at Real Madrid. In one and a half-season at the club, he made just 15 La Liga appearances, and out of those he only started in five matches.
“Brahim returned to Spain in January 2019,” the player’s agent said, speaking to Tuttomercatoweb. “But in Madrid, they didn’t give him the required space and above all the confidence he needed.
“He’s a young player and he needs to play continuously to bring out his full potential.”
The 21-year old landed at Malpensa airport on Wednesday to undergo medical ahead of completing his move to AC Milan, and his representative is confident that Brahim will be able to make a name for himself at San Siro.
“If Brahim Diaz has chosen Milan, it means he already knows he can help the team by carving out a leading role. I have no doubts about this,” Pedro Gonzalez added.
“As soon as he has finished his growth path, we will talk about an absolute champion and not a promising youngster anymore.”
