Los Blancos are said to be hot on trail of the Norwegian sensation while they have long been linked with the French forward.

Florentino Perez has addressed the speculations linking Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid.

Despite being in the early stages of their careers, Mbappe and Haaland have already established themselves as two of the world’s best players.

The 22-year-old Frenchman has scored 35 goals, in addition to registering 10 assists, in his 41 matches in all competitions this season. The 20-year-old Norwegian, meanwhile, has notched up as many goals and assists in four fewer appearances.

A few reports claim the Spanish champions are in the race to sign both the players as they seek to build a new ‘Galactico’ squad.

In a lengthy interview with El Chingruito on Monday, Perez talked about the Haaland-Mbappe speculations, how European Super League will “save football”, and a possible Real Madrid return for Cristiano Ronaldo, among other things.

“The fans always ask me to buy Mbappe. “My answer? I say: don’t worry… the truth is that he is a good player, yes,” said Perez.

“I’ve never talked to Mbappe. At least now… I don’t know what’s going to happen to his contract with PSG.

“Haaland’s father has visited our training ground Valdebebas, yes. Everyone has always had the same reaction: never seen anything like this.

“Haaland and Mbappe are two excellent players but what [Lionel] Messi and [Cristiano] Ronaldo have done is incredible.”
