Ahead of the Champions League showdown with Chelsea, Real Madrid have welcomed four key players into the squad.
Sergio Ramos, Ferland Mendy, Federico Valverde, and Marcelo have made Real Madrid’s 23-man squad.
The Spanish giants will visit Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night for the second leg of their Champions League semi-final tie against Chelsea.
The two sides previously settled for a 1-1 draw during last week’s first-leg in Spain, leaving them level on aggregate for the all-decisive showdown in London.
But while center-back Raphael Varane is unavailable, Sergio Ramos and Ferland Mendy are back. The defenders returned to group training recently and experienced no problems. It’s unclear, though, whether they are fully fit.
Midfielder Valverde, meanwhile, has been given the green light after recording two negative COVID-19 tests.
Despite having been selected for local election duties in Madrid, Marcelo is also in the squad.
According to La Sexta, a second alternate member at the elections volunteered to replace Marcelo on Tuesday morning’s elections so that he could travel with the team to England.
