As part of the established protocol, Real Madrid announced they are ready to present one of their most recent transfers of the summer.

Real Madrid hasn’t made many recent transfers this summer but they are ready to present the most hyped they made thus far. We are talking about Austrian defender, Davi Alaba. The man who refused to continue playing for Bayern Munich because he wanted to try a new adventure as a Real Madrid arrival. We’ve already seen pictures of the man himself inside a plane and on his way to the Spanish capital. After a well-deserved holiday right after the Euros, Alaba was finally called to get everything ready for his presentation.

There is still no further information about the protocols or assistance to this event. However, we can expect some fans to attend Real Madrid City in order to meet their latest transfer. Many hopes are deposited on what David Alaba can do as a defender for Real Madrid. Even though he is a full-back, Carlo Ancelotti already confirmed he might use him as a centre-back while the team selects Sergio Ramos’ ideal replacement. If Raphael Varane leaves the club, Alaba will definitely stay as a centre-back.

Real Madrid made the announcement today.

Ahead of the scheduled presentation, Real Madrid decided to make the announcement through their official website: “Real Madrid C. F. is pleased to announce that tomorrow, Wednesday 21 July at 12:30 pm. David Alaba will be presented at Real Madrid City as a new Real Madrid player. David Alaba will then address the media in an online press conference.” This decision to present Alaba on Tuesday will also bring the player’s first official training session under Carlo Ancelotti.

If everything goes well for him during the pre-season, we can expect Alaba to start participating in the squad on a regular basis. The sooner he hits the ground running alongside his teammates, the better his adaptation will be to the club. Alaba comes as a response to the lack of transfers Real Madrid has had over the last three transfer windows. Although this summer seems like it will be a quiet one too, there is still hope that Florentino Perez will attempt one final signing before deadline day.
