The Spanish giants have announced a second contract extension in the space of three days.
Real Madrid have officially prolonged the contract of Rodrygo Goes.
The 22-year-old forward, acquired from Santos in 2019 for €45 million, is a pivotal team member. He delivered a fantastic 2022/23 season, scoring 19 goals, and has remained a regular starter in the current campaign.
In total, Rodrygo has supplied 39 goals and 33 assists in 179 appearances. He has already eight honors in the Spanish capital, including two LaLiga titles and the Champions League.
Real Madrid have now secured his future until June 2028 with a new deal. The agreement includes a reported €1 billion release clause. It’s the second contract extension the club has announced in three days, having extended Vinicius Junior’s deal on Tuesday.
Vinicius renewed his contract after months of talks, tying him to the club until 2027.
Both Vinicius and Rodrygo will now look to prove their worth on Sunday when Real Madrid take on Rayo Vallecano in a LaLiga match.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side go into the game looking to move clear of Girona at the top of the table.
