Eden Hazard was with the Belgian national team for UEFA Nations League and it has not sit well with Real Madrid hierarchy.
Real Madrid paid a king’s ransom to get Eden Hazard out of the English capital. He was a king in London but has been rather tame in Madrid.
The attacker himself admitted that the 2019/20 La Liga winning season was his worst as a footballer. Hazard has to silence doubters and his work in the gym looks to have paid off.
However, Los Blancos are still not happy with him. The club are angry at him for his international commitments and believe he has wasted a week with Belgium.
Hazard did not play a single minute for the Reds and it begs the question why did he even leave Real’s training camp. Madrid did not want Hazard and Courtois to leave, but both did. To his credit, Thibaut returned early but the outfield import didn’t.
According to Sport, this has angered Real Madrid authorities. Both Martin Odegaard and Luka Modric stayed back, and the club expected a similar decision by their most expensive recruit.
Roberto Martinez’s persuasion seems to have caused troubles for his talismanic captain at the club level. Patience runs thin at Santiago Bernabeu and Hazard is already on his last call.
