The Real Madrid boss has emerged as the No 1 target to succeed Tite at Brazil.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed Brazilian Federation (CBF) is keen to hire him as their next manager.

An underwhelming World Cup campaign in Qatar ended Tite’s spell as Selecao’s manager. Since then, CBF have pursued a move for Ancelotti, who is still a year away from running down his Real Madrid contract.

Speaking ahead of the Blancos’ La Liga match against Valladolid, Ancelotti insisted he wanted to respect his current deal at Santiago Bernabeu.

“The reality is that the Brazilian national team wants me; I love that, it’s exciting,” Ancelotti told reporters.

“From there, you have to respect the contract you have, which is a contract that I want to fulfil.”

He added: “Everything is quite clear, I’ll stay here as long as Madrid allow me to stay here.

“I feel a lot of affection from the president, the fans, the players, the atmosphere is very calm around me. We now have two and a half months to try to win two trophies.”

Real Madrid’s Brazilian players have repeatedly hinted at Ancelotti’s possible transfer in recent weeks. Let’s see if the Blancos would let the veteran coach leave at the end of the season.
