The Blancos secured a fantastic home win to return to winning ways in La Liga.
Real Madrid defeated Valladolid 6-0 in their La Liga game on Sunday. An incredible first-half display was enough to ensure Blancos’ win on home soil.
A seven-minute hattrick!
Real Madrid found a slow start to the game as they struggled to create serious chances early on. However, they put more and more pressure on Valladolid’s backline as the game went on.
Rodrygo opened the scoring for Real Madrid with a clever finish in the 22nd minute. The Blancos then got complete control over the game, attacking their opponents from both flanks.
Only seven minutes later, Karim Benzema started his incredible goalscoring rampage. The Frenchman scored a header from close range before making it 3-0 for the Blancos with a precise shot from the edge of the box.
In the 36th minute, Benzema completed his hattrick with a brilliant overhead kick inside the six-yard box. The goal killed off the game for Real Madrid ahead of the second period.
The pace of the game dropped significantly after the break as the Blacos remained in charge of the possession. Following a few missed chances, Rodrygo registered his second assist of the night for Asensio.
Lucas Vazquez then put the icing on the cake for Real Madrid when he converted Eden Hazard’s assist into their sixth goal of the night.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side stay 12 points behind Barcelona on the La Liga table. The Blancos will take on Villarreal in their next league game on Saturday.
